Volunteering With Photographer Dale Stine and Miami Beach Pride For "Legacy Couples," Opening April 2022 at HistoryMiami

As storytellers, we are always drawn to a compelling narrative, though it often comes in form of a product or a brand story. However, every now and again we get to be part of something much larger than ourselves and help advance a very important story. Recently, we had the distinct pleasure of volunteering our time to help bring these amazing stories to life with more than a dozen couples sharing stories about their relationship with one couple celebrating more than 50 years!

Through Miami Beach Pride, the “Legacy Couples” program honors LGBT couples that have been in a committed relationship for at least 10 years. This year, it was awarded a grant to have an exhibit at HistoryMiami called “400 years of LGBT Love” that is the cumulative total of the number of years these couples have been together

Learning more about their history as couples as well as an object that holds special significance to their relationship made for a powerful day of hearing their tragedies and triumphs and their unwavering commitments to each other. With a video crew on hand and still photos taken by veteran photographer Dale Stine, will be unveiling this exhibit in April 2022 in conjunction with AARP, Florida Humanities and Capital One. We couldn’t have been more honored to help with this project and can’t wait to see it come to life next year!
